The "Voices of Peace", from Potter, Wisconsin, started in 1997 with Bud and Carolyn McAtee and Tom and June Balliew. Since Tom's passing on
April 14, 2011, Bud and Carolyn have decided to go out on their own. Bud is a dedicated bluegrass gospel flat picker, lead singer, harmony, and is orginaly from Michigan. Carolyn sings lead vocal, fills in harmony and has written the majority of their songs. She is a Wisconsin native.
"Voices of Peace" music can be heard on several radio stations throughout the mid-west. They have appeared on several TV stations across the State. In 2006 their song, "Why Do I Wonder", made it to number one on the Christian Country Gospel National Charts and number five on the Southern Gospel's top 100 hits. They also received Excellence in Ministry of the Year Award at the Wisconsin Christian news expo in Stevens Point, WI.

In 2005 they organized the first VOP Gospel Fest. This event is held annually on the third weekend in August at the Hilbert Civic Park in Hilbert, WI.
Since their start in 1997 they have completed three full CD's, two singles, and have written 15 of their own songs. Along with their music ministry and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others, their stories are filled with humor, excitement and encouragement. Their music is soothing, comforting, easy listening and healing. Their goal is to provide Christian inspiration and to be an outreach to those who are searching.
Many doors have been opening for the Voices of Peace. Please keep praying for them and help them to spread the good news.
